The Darrell Henline Award honors an individual whose professional career in the field of cabaret is one of consistent excellence and distinction.
Darrell was the founding editor and publisher of Cabaret Scenes magazine from 1995 until his death in 2003.
The publication, which remains the only one of its kind, covers news, reviews, and profiles of both famous and lesser-known cabaret artists, and it has subscribers in 30 states and seven countries. The ASA and Cabaret Scenes magazine bestow this annual award in Darrell’s name to recognize his contribution to the unique art form that is cabaret.
